Every live mode on CricClash is a full match after a constrained draft. They share the same slot rules, keeper requirement, and bowling-attack check. They differ in opponent, format, venue, and how the squad is assembled. The home screen Easy / Hard toggle only shows or hides BAT · POW · BWL while you pick; it does not rewrite the engine. Drafting rules themselves are on How to Play.
This is the default first button on the home screen. You draft against the computer under Versus rules: a shared squad roll, snake order, a keeper, a legal bowling attack, then a full 50-over ODI. The AI does not cheat the simulator. It drafts and elects on its turn; the match seed is applied to both innings the same way a human opponent’s would be.
Casual, Balanced, and Ruthless sit only on this flow (and on IPL Expert vs AI). They change how greedy the computer is when ranking legal picks and how often it takes a slightly worse toss election. Ruthless always takes its top-ranked legal name. Casual spreads across a wider shortlist and sometimes defers the first election. If you want to learn the catalog without a second phone, start here.
Create a room, share the five-letter code, and draft in real time. One squad is rolled for both captains. Taking a player removes them from the pool. The room server owns the roll, the clock (about thirty seconds a pick), the one re-roll, and every validation. Clients never upload a finished XI — they send one name and one batting slot.
When both sides are legal, the server draws a single seed and both innings run from it. Identical conditions, identical luck: the only variable is the side you built. Highest score wins. Use this when you want a human rival and a result you can argue about without blaming a hidden AI knob.
Still Versus against a friend, still a 50-over ODI, but the pitch is chosen before the draft. The toss winner picks Chepauk (Chennai), Wankhede (Mumbai), or Uppal (Hyderabad). Chepauk is the slower, spin-leaning surface. Wankhede rewards genuine pace early and can swing. Uppal is the more even track where the ball comes on. You then draft for that surface instead of discovering the venue after the XI is locked.
Pick Elite Pitch when the argument is “who builds better for this ground,” not only “who grabbed the better names.” Stats for this mode are stored separately from ordinary Versus, so a Chepauk rivalry does not get mixed into your generic friend record.
This is the one mode that is not a single snake draft into an XI. Both captains start with a simulated purse of ₹100 Cr and bid on a shared player list until each has a 15-player squad. Lots are tiered Elite / Good / Decent / Weak from the same BAT, POW, and BWL numbers the rest of the game uses. Bids last fifteen seconds. There is no real currency, purchase, or prize — the rupees exist only inside the room.
After the auction you still have to pick a legal XI from those fifteen names for each match. The series is best-of-three across Chepauk, Wankhede, and Uppal. Venue order is chosen after the toss, so a purse you emptied on batters can still lose a spinner-friendly game. Pick Auction Trilogy when you want a longer session: build a squad, then prove it on three different surfaces.
IPL is a separate hub, not a home-screen ODI tile. You draft from forty real franchise seasons rather than international ODI squads. Format is T20: twenty overs a side, a maximum of four overs per bowler, at least five bowling options, and no consecutive overs for the same bowler. Each XI may include at most four overseas players. Impact Player is on in the simulator — it is a match-engine flag, not a second draft screen.
Inside the hub you choose Expert vs AI or Versus a friend. Those two keep their own stats. Venues are IPL grounds (Chinnaswamy, Wankhede, Chepauk, Eden Gardens, and the rest of the playable list), assigned as part of the T20 match rather than the Elite Pitch toss. Choose IPL when you want shorter games, franchise catalogs, and the overseas cap as an extra constraint.
Solo 500 Draft — the old one-player chase toward a huge ODI total — is still in the codebase but the home button is disabled. The live product is the head-to-head and series modes above. If a page elsewhere still mentions a solo “Draft” button, treat AI Match as the current single-human path.
There is no native iOS or Android store app. CricClash runs in the mobile or desktop browser. For common product questions, see the FAQ. Strategy for IPL grounds, ratings, difficulty, and Auction Trilogy is on Guides. Dated product changes are on What's New.
